I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
